Celebrate Good Times!

Come on, how often do you get to celebrate your birthday?

Not often enough! Today was Nicki's day, and in true Washingtonian fashion, she wanted Brunch. So Brunch it was!

Finding a quality brunch place in Amsterdam is a lot harder than it has any right to be. That is a niche market someone needs to pick up on asap. 

The Brunch gods smiled upon us when we arrived at G's. They even have a Brunch canal cruise, but that requires reservations, so we stayed on dry land.

They really know what they are doing over at G's. If you have to wait a bit for your table they will bring you drinks outside!

Bloody Mary's were a must on Nicki's birthday Brunch list. And they did not disappoint!

Brunch was delightful, but we had a whole rest of a birthday to fill! And in a place like Amsterdam there are just so many actives! So we scurried along....

To the Cheese Museum.

In a town like Amsterdam you end up getting more out of it if you ditch the map and just wander around. Around every corner is another picturesque delight!

The walking/eating tour continues. Don't miss the Van Stapele Koekmakerij cookies, the whole store only sells this one chocolate with white chocolate center cookie. They are damn good! 

But our main entertainment for the day, Spa-ing.

To many throw pillows? Never!!

Nicki got a manicure/pedicure and I enjoyed the pool. The facilities at Hotel De L'Europe were lovely and the staff could not have been more helpful!

What is the best way to wrap up a birthday? Why Sushi of course!
