Passports & Pommes Frites : One way to Paris, please!

There is nothing quite like being a young lady in Paris for the first time.

I think young ladies need to focus less on finding a boyfriend and more on finding a way to Paris, that's my sage wisdom for the day.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Didn't you already go to Paris? This isn't your first time." And yes, we have already been to Paris, but Paris, unlike some other activities in life, is just as amazing the first time as the second and third and fourth times. However, I try to experience every one of my trips to Paris as if it were the first time.

There is an exhibit right now in Le Petit Palace highlighting Paris in the 1900's, the year of the Worlds Fair in Paris. The Petit Palace is an amazing building just for the architecture! Constructed in the Beaux-Art style which is identifiable by its grand entrance ways, a flat roof, arches windows, classical details and symmetrical design.

Aside from its lovely exterior it is also FREE! Nicki and I opted to go through the 1900's exhibit, which was 10 euros, and save the permanent collection for next time.

I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibit there is even an app you can download to walk you through it!

Next we visited Muséede l'Orangerie in the Tuileries gardens home to Monet's Water Lilies, the entrance fee is 8 euros I believe.

It's such a cool relaxing space in the middle of town. Monet gifted the painting to his fellow countrymen after World War One. Not a bad gift!

After soaking up just enough culture for the day to not feel lazy we headed to lunch.
Any American who has been abroad for a while starts to miss things, we missed bagels! Luck for us the Jewish population in Paris is on point!
